CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE . . . James Layden

We want a free and independent state of South Carolina because we are tired of allowing the Yankee empire to take our resources and tell us what to do and how to live our lives.  One hundred and forty years is long enough to be occupied and exploited by a foreign power.  We were forced into a union by military conquest following a war of atrocities against a defenseless civilian population.  If self-government is good enough for Germany and Japan and other former enemies of the empire, it is good enough for South Carolina.  Our ancestors broke the first sustained period of reconstruction after twelve years, but they endured uninterrupted hatred and oppression.  We have been subjected to a second period of reconstruction since World War II.

We are now organised not only to break reconstruction, but also to finally gain our independence.  We are working to implement a threefold program that includes political, cultural/social, and economic action.  We have front-line and staff organisations that work in unison for a free South Carolina, and we mean business every step of the way.

Politically, we will promote a system to secure a smaller, more efficient, and predominately local government empowered to meet local needs.  Everything we do to promote home rule is progress toward this goal.

Culturally, changes will occur when our citizens demand, and the state government responds to, the needs of the people, rather than promoting politically correct multiculturalism that destroys a sense of identity and purpose.  We see government as a force to preserve and uphold our social values rather than eradicating them.  We believe that God’s laws are an acceptable standard of behaviour and that we should promote a Biblical world-view.  We will not allow others to revile Southern people, our symbols, or the SCLoS with immunity.  In time, we will take back our institutions and send scalawags and carpetbaggers scurrying.

Economically, South Carolinians’ well being is tied to the ruling elite of the Yankee empire.  Increased taxation, inflation, and corporate welfare, combined with saturation immigration, allow big business to hold down wages. Corporate profits are removed from South Carolina and in many cases invested in third world countries that will, over time, eliminate our jobs.  In many cases, both adult members of a family must seek employment away from home to provide for themselves and their children.  We are promoting small business as a starting point for economic renewal in South Carolina.

To gain a government by the consent of the governed, we have organised SCLoS chapters in many South Carolina counties.  This front-line organisation flows from the SCLoS Director to the Regional Coordinators and County Chairmen.  This is where local people do the real work at the local level.  The County Chairman and his staff are the driving force for change.

The SCLoS Chairman implements the policies of the Board of Directors.  His staff organisation includes individuals that work independently or in small groups on special projects.  Some projects are short term, but others may extend over many years.  They include responsible persons in positions identified as: SCLoS Director, Legal Counsel, Treasurer, Secretary, Accountant, Recruitment and Membership Retention Coordinator, Southern Patriot Shop Manager/ Abbeville, Southern Patriot Shop Manager/ Cayce, Cultural Events Coordinator/ Abbeville, Cultural Events Coordinator/ Cayce, Separation of State and Church Liaison, Sovereignty Advisory Committee Director, Secession Hill Director, Christian Exodus Liaison, Red Shirt Coordinator, Web-master, Fund Raising Committee Chairman, South Carolina Patriot Editor, Credit Union Evaluation Committee, 1st South Carolina Ranger Retention Coordinator, Southern Cultural Centre (501) (c) (3) Application Committee, and Like-Minded Group Networking Coordinator.

The front-line and staff organisations work together at the state level.  Three state sovereignty issues are currently at the forefront of our agenda: putting parents in charge of their own children’s education, eliminating illegal immigration, and opposing abortion.  May we deserve God’s favour.
