Director’s Report … Robert Hayes
Since this is the last issue of the
year of the South Carolina Patriot, I want to talk about the past year. And what a year it has been. Let me list a few of our accomplishments of
the past twelve months.
We
have added quite a number of new Southern freedom fighters to our ranks.
We
have organised a new county chapter and reactivated two others.
We
have continued to improve the South Carolina Patriot and the SCLoS
website.
We
have developed the on-line store website and have put on line three other
websites— www.palmetto.org and the
Southern Cultural Centre www.sccsc01.com and the Red Shirts www.redshirts.org We now have five active websites.
We
provided every law enforcement department in the state of South Carolina with a
letter stating the true nature of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
We
have produced a 1st South Carolina Ranger application brochure.
We
went to the Hunley funeral and passed out three to four thousand League
application brochures.
We
have been interviewed by newspapers, on radio talk shows, for television news
and have been discussed in numerous internet chat rooms. In most cases, secession has been discussed.
We
demanded and received permission to write an op-ed piece in both The
State and The Greenville News.
We
continue to get a lot of news coverage and interviews. We believe that any press coverage is better
than no press coverage.
Larry
Salley held a news conference in front of The Greenville News.
The
SCLoS is now a house-whole name in most of South Carolina.
We
are coordinating with the CSA Project in getting like-minded people to move to
South Carolina.
We
are working closely with Christian Exodus in also getting like-minded people
from across the united States and indeed some foreign countries to move to
South Carolina to help us gain independence.
We
purchased Secession Hill.
We
are in the early stages of developing a park for Secession Hill.
We
have obtained ownership of Abbeville’s first Confederate monument, which we
will place on Secession Hill.
We
are now in the process of opening our second cultural centre in Cayce.
We
put the Confederate Air Force into flight on three separate occasions during
our flagging of scalawag Beasley.
We
took on and flagged for three days the NAACP in Augusta, Georgia.
We
took on and flagged for two days the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery,
Alabama.
We
are now a political entity in the state of South Carolina.
At
the Eleventh Annual National League of the South Conference in Montgomery,
Alabama, in October, several speakers recognised the South Carolina League of
the South as being in the forefront of the fight and at least one individual
referred to us as the vanguard of the movement.
I
saved the best until last. We flagged
across the state of South Carolina, nineteen times and defeated scalawag David
Beasley.
We are winning and I can tell you that it feels mighty good. We , indeed, are taking the fight to our
enemies. While we will continue to
react to attacks of our enemies, we will not simply sit by awaiting attacks and
react defensively, but we are now in the attack mode and will take on our
enemies whenever and wherever we think it is appropriate. As Chairman Layden is fond of saying, “We
are not going to take it anymore”.
As reported above, we
now own Secession Hill and we are in the process of planning a park for the Hill. And as stated we have purchased our second
cultural centre, which may be open by time you receive this newsletter. As you know, it is our goal to have twenty
cultural centres across our fair country of South Carolina. It was the dream of the SCLoS to have a
cultural centre in Abbeville and it has been a reality now for three
years. It was our dream to own
Secession Hill. It is now a reality. It was our dream to open our second cultural
centre by the end of 2004. It too is a
reality. It is, of course, our dream to
have eighteen more cultural centres with two more before the end of 2005. It is our dream to build the park on
Secession Hill by the end of 2006. As
you see, the SCLoS has big dreams, but we have worked hard and are working very
hard to make those dreams come true. My
advice to one and all—don’t bet against the SCLoS, for you will probably
lose. We believe in what we are doing
and we believe that our dreams will come true.
Please, each and everyone of you, do what you can to make our collective
dreams come true.
As has been stated by
Chairman Layden, we believe the cultural centres will provide us with needed
revenue to carry our fight to the enemy, give us the opportunity to get our
message before more people and provide us locations to promote Southern culture
through art, word and song. Revenue
from our cultural centres hopefully will provide us the resources for
additional, much needed, staff in order to become more politically active. As I have stated in the past, freedom is not
free and as we become more and more politically active we are finding that
freedom, also, is not cheap. It is very
important that our members step forward today and give us some of you time,
energy and financial resources.
I started this report
by saying what a great year 2004 has been and folks, with your support, the
year of 2005 will be much greater.
