The New Combined Heritage Foundation Archive
by Timothy D. Manning, M.Div.
I have been building a quality collection of essays and articles through the Virginia Heritage Foundation and the North Carolina Heritage Foundation for the foundations' archive. Many of these essays I have used as free “give-aways” when working with teachers and students in the Guilford and Forsyth County Schools in North Carolina, and when speaking to Camps of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and various historical societies. As a result several private and high school teachers have modified and/or completely changed their views of “American” government, the South and its history through reading these materials.
I offered to give middle and high school classes historical presentations in the North Carolina schools for free. The schools would not permit this. So, I applied to work as a substitute teacher mostly for history, English and science teachers. I did not intend to do this as a real “job” but finding this approach so successful I ended up doing this for several years. They paid me to do what I would have done for free. I reviewed with each teacher whose classes I agreed to take what I could do with their classes. Then with their permission I gave presentations much like I would for the Sons of Confederate Veterans. This the counties permitted. My last year with the two counties I gave 325 class presentations. A secondary benefit of this experience is that I now have an intimate knowledge of the scope of the attempt of the American educational systems to attack the foundations of orthodox Christian beliefs and practices and politically cannonise American and Fabian Marxism.
The Combined Heritage Foundations now include the Palmetto Heritage Foundation, LLC which I funded in February of this year, 2009. These foundations are private societies of limited membership rather than being political activists groups. I have not made open appeals for donations and been able to maintain these foundations through, largely, unsolicited private sponsors who have developed an understanding and appreciation for my paleoconservative views inquire if I need financial assistance. There are no membership dues and the foundations are entirely dependent upon volunteers.
Sometimes the form of donations has meant merely being able to attend various conferences without having to pay entrance fee's or fee's for vendor tables. At other times individuals have been a larger help in sponsoring my travel across the eastern and Southern States and in contributing to the purchase of books that I make available to students and teachers.
I am retired from teaching (mostly training pastors and Bible translators) and serving as a hospital chaplain and am without an independent source of wealth than could fully sustain CHF activities. These donations have enabled me to travel and speak to groups far from home and to provide $5,000-$10,000 worth of free essays and books each year to people who are interested in a knowledge of history that is "unrevised" and a view of Southern culture that is "unreconstructed."
My focus has been to benefit public (government) school teachers, home-schoolers and their students by providing materials that give an honest, “not revised” and accurate understanding of American and Southern history and culture. The continuing socialist attempts at social re-engineering have been directed at our children and American education institutions at all age levels in order to destroy all public respect for Christianity and those honourable institutions and traditions that have preserved a uniquely American view of liberty, freedom and civil order.
The effects of American agnosticism and socialism are having a radically destructive influence on what once was a proud Southern agrarian culture largely composed of orthodox Christian thinking people who stood firm against the aggressive influence of New England agnostic rationalism with its never ending diversion of social, political, cultural and religious fadism. Fortunately, Southerners are waking up and beginning to realize the value of the wonderful agrarian civilization that has nearly been destroyed by the Deep North's infatuation with momentary modernity with ...
1. Its socialist politics,
This was not a new enemy of liberty. England was fighting socialism when Jamestown was settled in the early 17th century. The term socialism was not yet being used. These slugs of humanity were called “levelers.” England kicked these people out of their country, but they were soon back with a vengeance as their members pretended to have become Christian. By the 1930's England had entirely lost this war and what followed was an aggressive military posture toward the rest of the world prompted by its desire to control the markets of Europe against its chief competitor, the industrious and industrializing German people. Christianity is entirely in diametric opposition to socialism, so the destruction of orthodox Christian beliefs, practices and institutions is mandatory to the establishment of socialist rule.
2. Its industrial materialism,
Southern agrarians found this especially offensive as it spawned a new form of industrial slavery every bit as dehumanising as chattel slavery where New England and other northern parents sold their own children to become white slaves of northern industrialists.
3. Its entrenched fascism,
This has been a part of the American political landscape from the time the first New England senator was elected or appointed to office. Southern people and their politicians had an inherent aversion and allergic reaction to American fascism. The Constitution of the Confederate States of America specifically prohibited pork-barrel politics by forbidding the taxing of one State for the benefit of requests and projects of other States. American history is a long and tedious recitation of the shameful pilfering by private enterprises at the American public trough.
4. Its morally debauched entertainment industry,
It is taking a great deal of self-control on my part not to digress here, but it probably is unnecessary since even the most thick-headed dolt could give a thousand examples of this deplorable American institution that we permit to daily poison our youth and which has infected almost every foreign nation.
5. Its "fourth estate" lying lapdog media that swears to every lie some upper-middle class lawyer and politician want to inflict on his/her voters,
[Note: “Go Joe Wilson! Go!” Even though I do not agree with many of Joe Wilson's policies, especially his immigration views, he should be applauded for calling a spade, a spade.]
6. Its agnosticised Christian churches with their derascinated Christian beliefs, faith and practices,
Many Christian denominations have with hook line and sinker bought into Marxist social and political "values" and allowed those ever-changing "values" to replace their commitment to well-defined Biblical standards of "moral" behaviour.
7. And its bewildered population who permits "government" sponsored schools to "educate" and indoctrinate their children.
The increasing number of children being home-schooled gives us, at least, a tenuous ray hope through an increasing but still minority population that will not have “value-processed” under American agnostic and Marxist tutors through their heavily publicly-funded institutions.)
With the heritage foundations I seek to avoid being doctrinaire or given to philosophical hairsplitting. I support many Southern organisations that have suffered terribly from the tyrannical forces of so-called humanitarian social engineering and “re(de)construction.” Many Southern institutions and individuals thrive on condemning other Southern institutions and individuals for not fully embracing the totality of their individual goals and purposes. At times, it appears that Southerners would rather fight each other and split hairs over trying to be the most reconstructed citizens who are radically patriotic to the United States or the most faithful in defining what is truly Southern. Our people have undergone 149 years of continuing reconstruction and Yankee indoctrination. This period of reconstruction is sometimes called the “yankeefication” of “America” and just the South. We must be patient and educate, educate, educate and listen, listen and listen to each other.
For 30 years I supported Republican Party political campaigns in Virginia, and my parents worked in the White House for Presidents Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II. I now greatly regret my support of the Republican Party, and in moments of fantasy I envy those who can say, “If I had life to live over again I would live it just exactly as I have lived it.” I do find, however, that it stretches the imagination a bit to think there are people who have learned so little from their maturing life experiences that they would have done nothing differently if they could relive their lives with the accumulated knowledge of their total life's experiences.
With that said, the foundations selection of essays are meant to contribute to that end and may contain an occasional view or thought that is not as developed as I would like for it to be or not as developed as it ought to be. No writer knows everything but there are many wonderful kernels of valuable history and insights in these essays.

Dr. Clyde N. Wilson, retired Distinguished Professor of History at the University of South Carolina, is arguably the most knowledgeable living historian on the history of the United States of America and the Southern Confederate States of America. He is a true friend of all those who still cherish the dream of restoring true constitutional government, liberty and freedom to our country of South Carolina.
The attached new SPS archived article is written by Dr. Joseph R. Stromberg who is a former columnist and historian for The Mises Institute and is a current columnist and historian for The Independent Institute. He writes a review of Clyde N. Wilson's insightful Defending Dixie: Essays in Southern History and Culture. The Sons of Confederate Veterans, all historians and all friends of the South and Southern culture are heavily indebted to Dr. Wilson for his accurate rendering of our history and even more indebted to him for his understanding of and perspective's on our Southern past and Southern heritage.

I received an unusually high number of positive e-mails from my response to "The Casualties of War." Bruce Buwalda, a gentleman from Missouri with an MBA, drew an unusually insightful conclusion that may well be more true than I used to be willing to admit. His conclusion said, "With such a precedent established for war, the U.S victors had no right in participating in war crimes tribunals on the vanquished nations (regardless of the enormity of the crimes), due to the stain on her hands from the war between the states." That the United States have no humility and know no shame is something still recognized by unreconstructed Southerners.
Let's take a look at the victorious United States for concrete examples that are contrary to totalitarian governments.
1. Some of the"first concentration camps" were conducted by the United States of America in the west as holding pins until we could kill the Indians with small pox, and it did not seem to bother anyone that thousands of Indians died in the "Removal" to Oklahoma. The English had used small pox against us earlier in our history and that evidently established a precedent for the United States. The "Supreme Race" idea is tied to the American sense of "Divine Destiny," even though other peoples were already living the areas we sought to claim as "belonging" to us.
2. The whole concept of "ethnic cleansing" was practiced by the United States against American Indians by the establishment of removal and the reservation system and then later was used against ethnic Germans through the Morgenthau Plan. In the Morgenthau Plan, written by Henry Morgenthau, Jr. United States Secretary of the Treasury, the United States, England and Russia killed over 2 1/2 million German civilians after World War II was over, loaded German civilians like cattle on rail cars (exactly like the Germans did to Jews and other Europeans) and relocated 15,000,000 more Germans in our assisting England in its plan to control European markets for its own homeland industries and restrict Germans from doing anything except farming. Had not the Morganthau Plan been halted the plan would have exterminated European Germans from the face of the earth. Tens of millions of more Germans would have been exterminated. For Confederate Southerners this meant that cities and towns that existed before Lincoln's War no longer exist. Now those of us who have followed our ancestors are STILL UNDERGOING cultural cleansing.
3. The term "Total War" was coined under Abraham Lincoln by the United States against the Confederate States of America. Hitler loved and adopted the notion.
4. The "extermination" of various European peoples was made to seem reasonable by the extensive use by the United States military's of the term and the practice. It was used near the beginning of Abraham Lincoln's U.S. War to Prevent Southern Independence by general's Hunter, Sheridan and Butler from the time of the very beginning of the war. Dozens of other U.S. generals used the term and were ordered to facilitate a massive genocide against Southerners, especially against their civilians. Their Southern civilian targets were the women, children and the elderly who remained in the cities. Sherman stated before congress that 80% of the U.S. military force used again the South was against "their civilians."
5. Hitler's "hatred for the Jews" was fired-up to uncontrolled proportions by two books written against Judism by the U.S. car maker Henry Ford. Hitler send his emissaries to the United States and awarded Henry Ford the highest metal of honour that Germany has ever awarded to a foreign national. This is a story seldom admitted to by World war II historians. It is O.K. to hate Hitler and Germans but not O.K. to hate the Marxism and national socialism that provided a structure for their genocidal activities.
6. Decades ago the apostate descendants of the radical Puritans (commonly and proudly, of course, calling themselves "yankee's") living in the Deep North (New England) gave up their radicalized Calvinism and gave birth to the "eugenics movement" long before Hitler's death chambers. These people surrendered their belief in God and the Bible and became atheists and agnostics who embraced transcendentalism, socialism, communism and Unitarianism. They had always hated Christians who differed with them in beliefs and continued to shun any level of tolerance toward Christians and especially toward those who held the more "orthodox" Biblical beliefs.
Socialist like Margaret Sanger (Margaret Higgins Sanger Slee 1879-1966) and earlier Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) were "feminist" activists in pushing American birth control. Sanger became the founder of the American Birth Control League which became Planned Parenthood. She spoke to the KKK pushing her views. The feminist movement was a supremist white female movement seeking to stop the birth of non-white babies first in North America and then in the rest of the world. In her drive to promote contraception and abortion which was a distinguishing manifestation of "negative eugenics (as seen in the Nazi movements)," Sanger remains a hero of American liberals composed of American Nazi's, neo-Nazi's, Fabian socialists and apostate Evangelical churches. Northern Evangelical churches readily accepted abortion into their "value systems." ((Atheists and agnostics have "values" while Christians have "morals." Values are defined through rationalism and the use of Marxist democracy and morals are defined through the study of the Bible.)) Susan B. Anthony remains a hero honoured by a dollar coin issued by the government of the United States of America in her "honour." Anthony traveled the United States and Europe for 45 years giving 75 to 100 speeches every year on "women's rights."
Thank you Mr. Buwalda. I now believe that you are more right than the history of the court historians which is constructed to make us feel comfortable with the agnostic notions of the American empire.

At the present time freedom and liberty in the United States simply no longer exists even though the universal mantra of the United States says “We are the freeist people on the planet and everybody else is just jealous of our freedom.”

There is much discussion by members of law enforce agencies and military units in all the branches of the U.S. military about the possible consequences of the real estate crash, the massive bailout of the wealthy banks and American industries and the increasing numbers of the unemployed. The Kiplinger Newsletter people are telling me that they are expecting a "second round" of real estate bankruptcies followed a crash in the commercial real estate market. The economic structure of the United States economy was already shaky when this began.
There seems to be a universal expectation for a possible disruption of the food supply in the United States followed by rioting and chaos in American cities and the placement of specialized Urban Assault troops jointly trained by Russian and U.S. special forces. This is certainly a worse case scenario but it is one of growing public concern. I hope this is just a form of political hype that may be being used as a diversion to keep our eyes off of the radical changes being made in American law and public policy. I debated a while before sending you this controversial essay since some may considered it too edgy.
I did test run this essay amoung a selected group of politicians and leaders of some of our Southern historical and cultural movements and it was unusually well-received. The reception of this essay was more positive than I had expected. I am interested in your reactions to L.R. Beams thinking on this topic.

Attached is a brief summary of ten beginning steps Ray McBerry, owner and executive director of www.dixiebroadcasting.com, would take to restore State sovereignty in his State if he were elected governor of Georgia. He is currently amoung the top three contenders for the Republican nomination for governor. This really is a brilliant beginning to restoration.

The Pentagon's records show that we have fought 218 wars since the American Revolution. Each generation of Americans has been systematically desensitized with the mantra that they must fight other people in their own countries to keep them from fighting us in our country. This kind of circular reasoning has worked. There is little dialogue (and none by the media) showing the relationship of American fascism to the liberal use of U.S. military in foreign nations.
