But it was the entertainment provided by the South Carolina
League of the South that got the most attention. And what entertainment
was that? Flagging, of course! The South Carolina League of the
South went to Montgomery with all of the necessary flagging equipment, i.e.
flags, signs, banners and of course “the man in the commode”. And who did
we flag? The infamous hate institution, the Southern Poverty Law Center,
which is headquartered in Montgomery, was our target. As League members
were gathering in Montgomery on Thursday 21 October, the SCLoS organised our first flagging.
Because members were just arriving in town, we only had
about ten flaggers on site that afternoon.
