Calling All Red Shirts to the Burning of Columbia
On Saturday 17 February 2007, the South Carolina League of the South will again commemorate the Burning of Columbia. It was on 17 February 1865 that the war criminal, Sherman, set the city of Columbia afire. If it was not at the direction of the tyrant, Lincoln, it surely pleased him, because he certainly did not reprimand the war criminal. We will again put these two accused war criminals on trial and let justice take its course.
We want all of our members to join us in Columbia on the Statehouse grounds at 10:00 AM on Saturday 17 February 2007 for a little fun and perhaps a little justice, even if it is a bit late. We will then retire to Maurice's for a little Southern cooking.
SCLoS 2006 Conference
The SCLoS annual conference will be held on Saturday, 11 November 2006 at Crystal Lake in Lexington County. This is the same location used for the 2005 conference and it is located on HWY-321. From I-26 take exit-115 toward Gaston and Swansea and you will see the Southern Patriot Shop on the right. Travel about 3 miles past the shop and you will see flags on the left in front of Crystal Lake. The conference is free of charge and a fast food dinner meal will be available on the premises for $6.50 and a nominal fee for children. Bring the entire family as we will have a program for everyone's enjoyment. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00am and will adjourn about 3:00 pm. We expect this will leave ample time to look over our expanded Southern Patriot Shop inventory and purchase gifts for your Christmas list. Please make plans to attend as Robert Hayes will have a program that features many new individuals and some surprises.
For a free South James E. Layden Chairman SCLoS State Meetings As you schedule a meeting get it on the SCLoS web. Please give the folks time to plan their time so they can attend.
